JAN ANDREASIK A graduate of Rzeszow University of Technology (1978). He obtained the PhD degree in technical sciences from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow in 1986. He was a staff scientist at the Rzeszow University of Technology (1978-2000) and the University of Technology and Management in Rzeszow (2000-2008). Since 2003 he is a senior lecturer at the Zamosc University of Management and Administration. In 1997 he was appointed as a Chancellor of Zamosc University of Management and Administration and since 2003 he is a Rector of the Zamosc University of Management and Administration. The scope of scientific activities: architecture of systems with KBS Knowledge Based System, enterprises ontology, development of algorithms in the CBR, Application of Multi - Criteria decision-making methods. He has also worked out the strategy assessment of the SME sector enterprises (in the SOK-P1 system) within the framework of the project EQUAL F-0086, which is a part of internet portal ( www.e-barometr.pl). PAWEŁ GARBACZ I am an analytical philosopher whose research interests are located at the border between philosophy, artificial intelligence, and computer science. The area of my competence comprises mathematical logic, philosophy of logic, and analytical metaphysics. The area of specialisation includes formal ontology, philosophy of engineering, and non-classical logics. For a few years I have been actively collaborating with Laboratory of Applied Ontology (ISTC CNR, Trento, Italy). Among other things, we realised a project „Formal ontological foundations of information systems“ funded by the Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowship. From 2006 on I have been working as a consultant for 42SBS [WWW]. PIOTR KULICKI Assistant professor at John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. A graduate in philosophy of the Catholic University of Lublin (1993), also a visiting student at the Oxford University Computing Laboratory (academic year 1994/95), Ph.D in philosophy in 2000. Scientific interests include: formal logic (especially logic of names), artificial intelligence, logic programming, database design, system analysis. MAREK LECHNIAK Assistant professor at John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. A graduate in philosophy of the Catholic University of Lublin (1987), he received his Ph.D. in philosophy in 1997. Scientific interests include: modal and epistemic logic, many valued logic, logic in law. ROBERT TRYPUZ Assistant professor at John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. A graduate of the Catholic University of Lublin, he received his Ph.D. in informatics and telecommunication from the University of Trento (Italy). From 2004 to 2007 he has been a researcher in Laboratory for Applied Ontology (LOA), ISTC-CNR (Italy).
